The IDF announced the elimination of the chief of the General Staff of Hezbollah, Ali Tabtabai

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) eliminated the chief of the General Staff of the Lebanese Hezbollah movement, Hitam Ali Tabtabai, in the Beirut area. This was announced on November 23 by the IDF press service.

"The IDF is supported by AMAN (Israel's military intelligence directorate. — ed.) and with the help of the air force, it struck in the Beirut area and eliminated <...>..> Hitama Ali Tabtabai, the de facto commander—in-chief of Hezbollah," the Telegram channel said.

According to the press service, after the removal of most of the military leadership, Tabtabai was actually responsible for conducting military operations against Israel. At the end of the operation, Tabtabai was appointed commander-in-chief of Hezbollah and in this role led the reconstruction of the organization, commanded most of the units and actively worked to return them to a combat-ready state for the war with Israel.

On the same day, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) attacked a key member of the Hezbollah movement in Beirut. The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu clarified that the target of the strike was the chief of the general staff of the movement, who is leading the buildup of Hezbollah forces.
