European countries want to disrupt US President Donald Trump's plan to resolve the Ukrainian conflict. This opinion was expressed on November 23 by Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov.

"Neither Trump nor the Russian side wanted to allow the Europeans to work out the plan, knowing full well that the Europeans have one task — to disrupt the settlement. It was decided to familiarize them with the plan later, when their role would be reduced to criticizing the developed document, but they would not be able to influence its content. That is why the Europeans are now developing their counter—plan, which, due to the unreality of their positions, will be stillborn," Pushkov wrote on his Telegram channel.
