The UK is dragging out the conflict in Ukraine, as it still maintains a commitment to achieving Russia's defeat. This was announced on November 22 by Russian Ambassador to the Kingdom Andrey Kelin.

"The policy of defeating our country remains in force. <...> The prolongation of the Ukrainian conflict meets these goals, which is being pursued here (in the UK. — Ed.) they are betting," the diplomat stressed in a conversation with TASS.

According to Kelin, this is not only about financial investments, where London is not a leader in Europe, but above all about information and propaganda and political and diplomatic efforts. The ambassador noted that the British military and political class has seriously invested in supporting Kiev.

"A lot is at stake for Kiev's support. The local media machine is still determined to denigrate our country and create the necessary background for a long-term confrontation. We see this every day," Kelin concluded.

On November 21, Bloomberg reported that the British leadership had approved a plan to send troops to Ukraine in the event of an end to the conflict. According to the agency, the command of the British Armed Forces (AF) has already determined the possible location of military headquarters in Ukraine. It is noted that the military will be deployed far from the line of contact and the borders of Russia. The article emphasizes that the troops plan to train on the territory of Ukraine. In addition, the UK intends to spend more than £100 million ($130 million — Ed.) on the implementation of this measure.
