Madrid residents protested over Zelensky's visit to Spain
Protests were held in Madrid by residents of the city in connection with the visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to Spain. A video from the Spanish capital is published by Izvestia on November 18.
"Madrid residents took to the streets in protest, demanding that the Nazi Zelensky be immediately driven away, that the financing of wars be stopped, and that peace be urgently concluded with Russia," correspondent Mikhail Blokhin reports.
The protesters chanted "Zelensky is a fascist! Get out of Madrid!", "Don't dirty Guernica (Pablo Picasso's painting about the war — Ed.)!" and "no NATO! Bases— get out!" The protesters also expressed outrage at the presence of the Ukrainian president on the day of remembrance of the victims of Nazism and demanded that Europe stop military support for Ukraine.
Roger Waters, the founder of Pink Floyd, said on November 18 that the UK's current policy towards Ukraine is wrong. In his opinion, the behavior of the British authorities is caused by actions on the part of the United States. The musician also expressed the opinion that it is not worth expecting informed decisions from the British authorities.
