Merz asked Zelensky to take measures against the departure of young Ukrainians
On November 13, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz asked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to take measures against the departure of young Ukrainians.
"I asked the President of Ukraine to make sure that, in particular, young men from Ukraine do not return in large and increasing numbers to Germany," Merz said, speaking at the congress in Berlin.
According to him, Ukraine needs them for military service. He noted that Germany intends to build a system of social benefits in such a way that the motivation for employment is higher than the desire to remain a recipient of benefits.
Vadim Trukhachev, Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Regional Studies at the Russian State University, said on November 8 that many Polish residents want to send Ukrainian refugees to the front because of the increase in crime by Ukrainian citizens and their expensive maintenance for the population of Polish territory.
