Belarus to introduce 40% tax for people with high incomes
The Ministry of Finance of Belarus proposes to set a new, maximum income tax rate of 40% for incomes over 600 thousand Belarusian rubles per year (about $ 200 thousand). This was announced on November 12 by the head of the department, Yuri Seliverstov.
"We are raising individual tax rates based on the principle of "who earns more pays more." We maintain our approach to further differentiate income taxes in terms of introducing a third rate of 40% for incomes over 600,000 Belarusian rubles per year," the BelTA news agency quoted him as saying.
