In Ukraine, the staff of the Shopping mall forcibly mobilized a priest of the UOC
Employees of the territorial recruitment center (TCC, an analog of the military enlistment office in Ukraine) detained the rector of the parish in honor of St. Basil the Great in the village of Korchevtsy in the Glybok deanery of the Chernivtsi diocese of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC). This was reported on November 8 in the Telegram channel of the Union of Orthodox Journalists (UOJ).
"The TCC has detained Priest Valery Florescu, rector of the parish in honor of St. Basil the Great in the village of Korchevci in the Glybok deanery," the publication says.
According to the union, the priest is currently at a military training ground in the Chernivtsi region. It is noted that local Orthodox believers have called for increased prayers for the priest, expressing concern about his fate. They also urged us not to forget in our prayers the priest Fyodor Gnitetsky, who is in prison.
Earlier, on November 7, the UOJ reported that employees of the Ukrainian shopping mall in the town of Smela, Cherkasy region, had abducted the rector of a local church of the canonical UOC. It was clarified that the priest was detained during the divine service. After that, he was immediately taken to the military enlistment office.
