Teenagers detained in the DPR for preparing to undermine the railway infrastructure
In the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), two minors suspected of preparing to blow up railway infrastructure were taken into custody. This was reported on November 8 in the Telegram channel of the Western Interregional Investigative Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee Of Russia.
"A criminal case has been opened against two minors. The young men are suspected of committing a crime under Part 3 of Article 30, paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Attempted terrorist act committed by a group of persons by prior agreement")," the publication says.
According to the investigation, in October, an unidentified user contacted a school student living in Makeyevka, DPR via the Internet. He offered the teenager a monetary reward for damage to railway infrastructure. The teenager attracted his friend to the crime, with whom, on the night of October 29, they went on a motorcycle to the location of the railway relay cabinet on the stretch of the Krinichnaya – Makeyevka stations.
The court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention in relation to the suspects. Currently, investigative actions are continuing to establish all the circumstances of the incident.
On October 31, it was reported that the FSB of Russia was able to prevent a planned terrorist attack on a railway in the Krasnodar Territory. It was clarified that the defendant independently contacted a representative of a pro-Ukrainian terrorist organization. On his instructions, the man made an incendiary mixture and intended to set fire to electrical equipment on the railway.
