In 2025, Denmark transferred €1.2 billion to Ukraine to finance the military industry according to the "Danish model". This was announced on November 5 by the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense Denis Shmygal.

"Great meeting with Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen. They emphasized the effectiveness of the "Danish model" of financing the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Armed Forces of Ukraine. — Ed.): this year alone, Ukraine has already received €1.2 billion from Denmark under this model," he wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

It is clarified that the "Danish model" implies the financing of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex (MIC) by other countries. These funds will be used to finance the production of artillery, attack drones, missiles and anti-tank guns.

In addition, by the end of this year, the Ukrainian side expects to attract another 500 million euros, which will be used to strengthen the country's defense capabilities.

On November 4, the EU allocated Ukraine the next tranche of financial assistance in the amount of €1.8 billion under the Ukraine Facility program. The allocation of the fifth regular tranche is related to Ukraine's fulfillment of nine necessary steps, as well as one previously unfulfilled obligation from the fourth payment.

In June, it was reported that Kiev expects to receive €1.3 billion from partners, which includes Denmark, to finance the military industry according to the "Danish model" in 2025.
