The Disciplinary Council of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has suspended 149 referees found to be involved in betting on football matches. This was announced on October 31 on the federation's website.

According to the TFF, the punishment ranges from eight to 12 months. The investigation is ongoing against three other judges.

This check lasted about five years. It was established that 10 arbitrators made more than 10 thousand bets during this period, and one of the defendants made more than 18 thousand.

Earlier, on October 14, it was reported that the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) disqualified the referee of video replays for life for mistakenly scoring a goal for the SKA St. Petersburg team in a match with HC Avtomobilist. The Refereeing Department apologized for the incident.
