The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched an Iskander strike at the site of preparations for the launch of Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the Kharkiv region. This was announced on October 17 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Armed Forces struck the enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine. It is reported that the strikes were carried out in response to terrorist attacks on civilian targets by Ukrainian militants.
