MONA and the band "Virus!" will perform in the new issue of the Battle of Generations

On October 18, a new edition of the musical show "Battle of Generations" will be released on MUZ-TV, in which the band "Virus!" and a representative of the new wave of Russian pop music, MONA, will meet. The artists will compete in musical duels, and their performances will be evaluated by a star-studded jury, the TV channel's press service reported.

The participants shared their opinions about each other. Yuri Stupnik from the Virus! group noted that cooperation with MONA could be interesting.

"I think that if we had a feature (a joint musical recording by one artist with the participation of another. — Ed.) with MONA, then it would be some kind of lyrical intro from MONA and a ripper from "Virus!", he said.

In response, MONA shared her memories that "Virus!" was often played on her mother's radio station, where she was a presenter. The singer added that "Well, where are the pens!" is her childhood favorite song.

During the show, experts including Nikolai Baskov, Yana Rudkovskaya, MakSim and young artists such as Vanya Dmitrienko and MIA BOYKA and Yulia Gavrilina will appreciate the live performances of the participants. Viewers will also be able to see how MONA performed her lyrical song "Barefoot" in the "Love Song" round, and the band "Virus!" performed the hit "Don't Look for Me."

"The problem was that I couldn't make out all the words. Most novice performers have it. It's a certain manner, it's fashionable now, but I can't always understand the words," Maksim commented on the performance of "Virus!".

In the experimental "Opponent's Cover" round, MONA performed a cover of the song "I'll Ask you" by the band "Virus!" in her unique manner, and "Virus!" added dynamism and dance to the MONA track "Karenina". The judges were so impressed that they gave the team a standing ovation.

"Guys, that was really cool! It was so incredibly strong, with such a break, with such great vocals, which unexpectedly suited this song," said Nikolai Baskov, the band's performance artist.
