A new life situation has been launched on the Gosuslugi portal, which will help citizens apply for required tax deductions without having to leave the site. This was announced on October 15 by Dmitry Grigorenko, Deputy Prime Minister and Chief of Staff of the Government of the Russian Federation.

According to Grigorenko, the new service offers users a step-by-step guide on how to apply for various types of tax deductions, as well as provides complete information about the available options. This initiative was implemented within the framework of the federal project "State for People".

The Deputy Prime Minister recalled that the tax deduction makes it possible to reduce taxable income, thus reducing personal income tax, as well as to return part of the tax paid, for example, from salaries, or to reduce the amount of tax on the sale of real estate.

Grigorenko explained that the new life situation greatly simplifies the process of making a deduction, and also reduces the risks of personal data leakage when contacting unreliable organizations that provide services for filling out tax returns. According to him, the service will help the user determine which tax deduction is available to him. For example, if there were expenses for medical treatment, education, or sports during the year, a citizen can apply for a social tax deduction.
