On Lake Baikal, as a result of a collision between a pleasure boat and a ship, three people drowned and another was injured. This was announced on October 11 by the press service of the Eastern Interregional Investigative Department for Transport (IMT) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia.

"According to preliminary data, there were five people on board the small vessel. As a result of the collision, one person was injured, he was hospitalized, three died," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.

It is noted that a criminal case has been opened into the incident, investigators are working at the scene of the incident, and necessary actions are being taken to establish the causes and circumstances of the incident.
