Zelensky announced a discussion with Trump about strengthening Ukraine's air defense
On October 11, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he had discussed with American leader Donald Trump the strengthening of the Ukrainian air defense system.
"We discussed the possibilities to strengthen our air defense and the agreements that we are preparing on this issue," Zelensky wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to him, there are real ways to strengthen Ukraine's air defense. In addition, the Ukrainian leader congratulated Trump on reaching an agreement on a peaceful settlement of the conflict in the Gaza Strip.
The conversation between Zelensky and Trump was announced on the same day by the head of the office of the Ukrainian president, Andrei Ermak.
Prior to this, it became known that Zelensky had requested Trump to supply the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) not only with multi-purpose and high-precision Tomahawk missiles, but also with HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems, as well as ATACMS ballistic missiles. It was noted that the Ukrainian president did not disclose what response to this initiative Trump gave him.
