Metallurg beat Torpedo in the KHL match

Magnitogorsk Metallurg Hockey Club defeated Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) regular season match.

The game ended with a score of 4:1 in favor of Metallurg.

Mikhail Fedorov, Egor Yakovlev, Nikita Mikhailis and Roman Kanzerov scored goals for Metallurg. Egor Sokolov scored the only goal for Torpedo.

Evgeny Kuznetsov, a former Washington Capitals forward, made his debut for Metallurg and scored an assist.

In the next match, Metallurg will face Avangard Omsk on October 12, and Torpedo will play Barys Astana on the same day.

On October 8, Metallurg defeated Torpedo 5-1 in a KHL match. Then Daniil Vovchenko (2nd minute) and Nikita Korotkov (9th minute), Egor Yakovlev (14th minute), defender Valery Orekhov (23rd minute) and striker Derek Barak (55th minute) scored goals for the winning team. Striker Mikhail Abramov provided the only goal for the losers in the 11th minute.
