There are five most common schemes of deception of Russians related to food delivery services. This was announced on September 10 by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

According to TASS, the first one includes fake websites and applications that copy popular delivery services. Attackers use these resources to obtain card data, usernames, and user passwords. When citizens enter information about themselves on such fake pages, it immediately falls into the hands of scammers.

The second scheme is based on an "error" in payment and refund. The scammers inform the victim that a payment error has occurred and offer to refund the money for delivery by requesting card details or SMS codes.

The third scheme involves the substitution of ordered dishes or the delivery of incomplete orders. In this situation, the scammers pretend to be couriers and deliver the order. At the same time, they either don't bring all the dishes, or they replace them. Then they require an additional fee from the client.

Phishing links sent via SMS and instant messengers that lead to fake pages for tracking orders or receiving discounts are also common. On these pages, scammers ask you to enter your card details.

The latter scheme is associated with non-existent promotions and bonuses. Scammers promise huge discounts or bonuses to lure victims to phishing sites where they collect card data.

On October 9, it was reported that in Russia, telephone fraudsters, posing as employees of a polyclinic, convince pensioners to provide personal data allegedly to retake tests. It is clarified that the attackers call pensioners, posing as employees of the clinic, and ask them to provide personal information to "supplement the questionnaire" before retaking the tests.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
