Konstantin Zatulin, first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, submitted to the House of Parliament a bill that provides for exemption from passing the Russian language proficiency test when enrolling in schools for children of participants in the program for the resettlement of compatriots. The document is posted in the Duma's electronic database.
It is proposed to introduce amendments to the law "On Education in the Russian Federation". The innovations exempt children of citizens of countries where Russian is the official language, as well as children of employees of diplomatic missions and consular institutions from the test when entering schools.
