Hungary will sue the leadership of the European Union (EU) if it tries to violate the basic laws of unification and deprive the country of the right of veto. This was stated on October 4 by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in an interview with the Hetek portal.

"These are (attempts to deprive Hungary of the right of veto. — Ed.) will lead to a trial, we will go to court, and then they will lose in court," he said, an interview published on the Hetek YouTube channel.

Orban also expressed the opinion that Brussels is trying to replace the current Hungarian government in the parliamentary elections to be held in April 2026. He believes that the EU is striving for opposition forces to come to power in the country, supported by Brussels and funded through non-governmental organizations. According to Orban, such forces will be able to approve Ukraine's accession to the EU.

"They don't want to change laws, they want to change governments," the Hungarian Prime minister said.

He added that Brussels is now openly declaring its intentions and is doing so "shamelessly."

Zoltan Koshkovich, an analyst at the Hungarian Center for Fundamental Rights, said on September 7 that the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, was ordering strikes on the Druzhba oil pipeline in order to put pressure on Hungary and change its position on Ukraine's accession to the EU. Koshkovich added that if Zelensky really manages to stop the operation of the pipeline, then he he will lose all "levers of influence".
