A court in Moscow fined Telegram 7 million rubles.

The Moscow court fined the Telegram messenger for 7 million rubles. This was reported on October 3 in the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of the capital.

It is clarified that the messenger is accused of failing to fulfill the obligation to monitor the social network and take measures to restrict access to information (Part 3 of Article 13.50 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation).

"An administrative penalty has been imposed in the form of an administrative fine in the amount of 7 million rubles," the Telegram channel says.

On September 30, the Tagansky District Court of Moscow fined Telegram messenger 3.5 million rubles for not deleting information prohibited in Russia (Part 2 of Article 13.41 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation).
