A Chinese language teacher from the Belgorod region became the teacher of the Year

Dmitry Balanchukov, a teacher of Chinese and English from the Belgorod region, was recognized as the teacher of the year. His award ceremony took place on October 3 as part of the Classroom Teachers Forum at the Russia National Center.

"The winner of the All—Russian competition "Teacher of the Year 2025" is Dmitry Balanchukov, a teacher of Chinese and English from the Belgorod Region," announced Sergey Kravtsov, Minister of Education of the Russian Federation.

In his acceptance speech, the teacher quoted a Chinese idiom: "If there are three people walking, your teacher will definitely be among them." He noted that on the competitive path he had met outstanding people from whom he had studied.

"This victory is ours together with my family, my school, students and teachers. And it belongs to us along with my Belgorod region," he stressed in his acceptance speech.

Instead of bouquets, teachers were more often given florariums.

Earlier, on October 1, Kravtsov noted the possibility of creating an artificial intelligence system to help teachers and schoolchildren. At the same time, according to the head of the Ministry of Education, at the moment information technology acts as an assistant to the traditional education system and will not be able to replace teachers in the educational process and teaching.
