Russians won five medals at the World Athletics Championships in New Delhi

On the fifth day of the World Paralympic Athletics Championships, the Russian national team won five medals. The competition was held on October 1 in New Delhi.

Vladimir Sviridov won the gold medal in the shot put in the F36 class, and Alan Kokoity took the bronze in the same discipline.

In addition, Anna Kulinich-Sorokina won gold medals in the 400 m (T12) and Alexander Kostin in the 5,000 m (T13). Victoria Slanova took the bronze medal in the 100 m (T37).

On August 11, Russian track and field athlete Polina Knoroz won the Russian (Czech Republic) Pole Vault Championship for the third time, showing the second result in the world. Her jump was 4.86 m. She was 5 cm short of the world record.
