Putin appointed the governor of the Tver Region as envoy to the Northwestern Federal District

Russian President Vladimir Putin has appointed Tver Region Governor Igor Rudenya as his plenipotentiary representative in the North-Western Federal District. The relevant decree was published on September 29 on the Kremlin's official website.

"This decree comes into force from the date of its signing," the document says.

By another decree, the Russian leader relieved Rudenya of his powers as governor of the Tver Region.

The Head of State also held a personal meeting with Rudenia, during which he discussed issues related to his new duties.

On September 18, Putin proposed Alexander Gutan's candidacy for the post of head of the Prosecutor General's Office. On September 23, the candidate was supported by the Federation Council Committee. On September 24, Putin appointed Gutsan Prosecutor General of Russia.
