A man was killed in a collision between a boat and a barge in the Samara region.
A small vessel and a barge collided on the Volga River in the Samara Region, resulting in the death of one person. This was announced on September 28 by the Central Interregional Investigation Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation (Central Department of Justice of the Investigative Committee of Russia).
"According to preliminary information, on the afternoon of September 28, 2025, a small vessel with at least two people on board and a barge collided in the waters of the Volga River in the Samara region. As a result of the incident, one person died," the Telegram channel of the Central Department of Justice of the Investigative Committee of Russia says.
A pre-investigation check was organized into the incident. In turn, the investigators are carrying out a set of measures aimed at clarifying the causes and circumstances of the incident. An appropriate procedural decision will be made based on the results of the audit.
On August 2, the Western Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation reported that two children were injured in a collision between a boat and a boat on a reservoir in the Tver region. A criminal case was opened into the incident under Part 1.1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules of traffic safety and operation of inland waterway transport by a person operating a small vessel, which negligently caused serious harm to human health").
