Canadian actor William Shatner, known for his role as Captain Kirk in the Star Trek series, has been hospitalized in Los Angeles due to deteriorating health. This was reported on September 25 by the TMZ portal.

"As TMZ has learned, William Shatner, who played the iconic role of Captain Kirk in the Star Trek series, was taken to the hospital on Wednesday after he required emergency medical attention," the statement said.
