Archaeologists have completed the study of the nearly 3,000-year-old treasure.

Archaeologists have completed research on a Bronze Age treasure discovered in 2021 in Rosemarkie, Scotland. This was reported on September 23 in the journal Archaeology Reports Online.

During the excavations, jewelry and well-preserved organic materials were found.

Research has shown that the treasure was intentionally buried in a shallow pit around the 9th century BC. The artifacts were stacked and wrapped with plant material, connected with organic cords. X-ray examinations revealed nine bronze objects, including a semicircular ornament.

In addition, laboratory microscopes revealed rare organic remains such as fern stalks, wood bast and fibrous cords, which were preserved due to the burial conditions.
