Federation Council Committee supports Alexander Gutsan's candidacy for the post of Prosecutor General

In the Federation Council, the Committee on Constitutional Legislation supported Alexander Gutan's candidacy for the post of Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation.

The issue of appointing a candidate proposed by Russian President Vladimir Putin will be considered at the plenary session of the Federation Council on September 24.

According to TASS, Gutsan served as Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Yuri Chaika from 2007 to 2018. Since 2018, he has been the Plenipotentiary representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the North-Western Federal District.
