Until October 4, 2025, Russia will host the All-Russian Coin Week campaign, in which citizens will be able to exchange coins for banknotes at bank offices and large retail chains without commission. This will be announced on September 22 in the Telegram channel of the Central Bank.

It is specified that during the campaign, you can hand over coins in any condition: darkened, oxidized, scratched, bent and even drilled. However, to do this, the bank will need to fill out an application and present a passport.

In addition, it is recommended to sort the change in advance by face value. In stores, the exchange amount must be a multiple of 50 rubles. It is noted that coins issued since 1997 are also accepted.

Earlier, on May 30, it was reported that during the annual Coin Week campaign, more than 51 million coins worth almost 242 million rubles were returned to monetary circulation by Russians. It was clarified that new retail outlets had joined the Coin Week campaign, and residents of 3,058 settlements were also able to participate in it.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
