They are constantly trying to make the direct line format with Russian President Vladimir Putin more informative. This was announced on September 21 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin.
"We are trying to make this format more informative every time," Peskov said.
He noted that in preparation for the event, the Presidential Administration (AP) collects as many citizens' appeals as possible and tries to give lively answers to as many questions as possible. Peskov added that artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are used in processing requests.
In addition, according to the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, ministries and departments promptly respond to appeals even at the stage of their collection, which allows solving problems even before the direct line.
"Both ministries and departments react vividly even during the collection of questions, and while we are collecting questions, measures are already being taken. That's why the project is so voluminous. And I hope it will be the same this year," Peskov concluded.
On September 17, Putin instructed the Russian government and the presidential administration to prepare a new direct line. According to him, this project is designed to receive live feedback from the citizens of the country, which helps to identify the most pressing problems and ways to solve the requests of Russians. The next day, Peskov announced that Putin's direct line would be combined with a major press conference this year. The event is scheduled for December, but Peskov did not give an exact date.
The last direct line with Putin took place on December 19, 2024 and was also combined with a press conference. Representatives of the Western media and foreign journalists accredited in the Russian Federation also received invitations to the events.
