The Russian army broke through the defenses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Yampol. This was announced on September 18 by Igor Kimakovsky, adviser to the head of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).
"Our assault groups were able to break through the enemy's defenses in Yampol, but fierce fighting is taking place there," he told TASS.
