Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleg Tsarev said on September 15 that, according to Kiev's calculations, the conflict in Ukraine would last "a maximum of two more years," and therefore young people between the ages of 18 and 22 were allowed to travel abroad.

According to him, between the decision to release young people abroad and the difficult situation at the front for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) there are no contradictions.

"Kiev believes that the conflict will continue for at most two more years. This is what the current mobilization reserve is designed for. That is, those who are now 22 will not be mobilized. However, the most stringent measures will be taken against the rest," said Tsarev.

He noted that Kiev is not concerned about either the worsening demographic problems or complaints from the business community. The Ukrainian authorities are determined to continue the conflict, because only in this case will they receive funding from Europe, Tsarev believes.
