Star Wars producer David Weitzner has died at the age of 86.

David Weitzner, the Hollywood producer of Star Wars and Alien, has died at the age of 86. This was reported on September 14 by The Hollywood Reporter.

It is noted that Weitzner died at his home in Calabasas, California on September 1.

During his career, he oversaw the advertising campaigns for films such as "Star Wars," "Alien," and "This Is Spinal Tap!"

Weitzner's career began in New York, and he gained recognition in Los Angeles. In 1969, he produced the film Kinodely, and thanks to his marketing work, the film won an Oscar the following year.

In the mid-1970s, Weitzner became vice president of 20th Century Fox, where he led the advertising campaigns for such iconic projects as Star Wars and Alien. He later served as Director of Marketing at Universal.

In 2008, the producer presented the film Kwame, which received a number of awards and positive reviews from critics.
