An Airbus A320 operated by Air Cairo, en route from Egypt to Pulkovo Airport (St. Petersburg), was forced to change direction on September 12 and land in Tallinn. Information about this follows from data from the Flight Radar service, which can be used to track the movements of international flights.

According to the service, the plane took off from Sharm el-Sheikh the night before and was supposed to land in Pulkovo at 4:45 Moscow time on September 12. However, during the flight he was redirected to the capital of Estonia.

Later, the Pulkovo press service clarified to RBC that the actual arrival time of the flight was indicated as 9:30 a.m. Based on Flight Radar information, Air Cairo landed in Pulkovo at 10:59 Moscow time.

Earlier in the day, the Federal Air Transport Agency reported that temporary restrictions on the admission and release of aircraft were introduced at once in four Russian air ports. All of them were later removed. In total, 48 flights were delayed in Pulkovo, 33 were canceled, while 12 went to alternate airfields.
