Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison became the first in the list of the richest people on the planet, overtaking American entrepreneur Elon Musk. This was reported by Bloomberg on September 10.

"Ellison's fortune skyrocketed by $101 billion as of 10:10 a.m. in New York after Oracle Corp. She reported quarterly results that exceeded expectations and stated that there is still a lot of growth ahead," the publication says.

Thanks to the growth of Oracle's stock market quotations, which increased by almost 40%, Ellison's fortune grew to $393 billion, which is $101 billion more per day — the maximum daily growth since the Bloomberg Billionaires Index (BBI) was calculated. At the same time, Musk's wealth is $385 billion.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that Ellison had almost caught up with Musk's condition. According to the report, Oracle's revenue from cloud technologies increased by 28%.

On April 1, Forbes magazine recognized Musk as the richest man in the world. Then it was clarified that his fortune was estimated at $ 342 billion. The second place in the ranking was occupied by the head of Meta corporation (recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation) Mark Zuckerberg with a fortune of $216 billion.
