- The Russian Foreign Ministry called on the international community to assess the attacks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Russia on September 8-9.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called on the international community to assess the attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on Russia in the period from September 8-9. Her comment was published on September 9 on the official website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"We call on responsible members of the international community to give an adequate assessment of Kiev's barbaric actions, which in all ways demonstrate its intention to continue the armed confrontation and sabotage all attempts at a peaceful settlement, to which our country remains committed," the article says.
Zakharova noted that Kiev attacked the territory of Russia on the day Donetsk was liberated from the Nazi invaders during the 1943 Donbass offensive and called the attack a "gift from above" in honor of the holiday. She also mentioned the targeted attacks on civilian and social facilities of the Russian Federation on the night of September 9, as a result of which people died.
On September 8, the Russian Foreign Minister pointed to a targeted attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on a playground in Donetsk. She also stressed that the attack on Gulliver Park indicates Kiev's intention to escalate the situation and disrupt the peaceful settlement. Zakharova added that Russia reserves the right to respond to a terrorist attack from Ukraine.
