Deputy Head of the press service of the Ansar Allah movement (Houthis) Nasruddin Amer denied the accusations of the Yemeni authorities, who claim that the Houthis are engaged in the production of chemical weapons. This was announced on September 6 by a representative of the movement.

According to him, the accusations are false and baseless, they are not supported by evidence.

"The party that makes these accusations has neither the moral nor the political right to declare concern for the Yemeni people or raise issues related to ensuring peace in the region," the representative of the movement said in an interview with TASS.

On September 5, Yemeni Information Minister Muammar al-Iryani said in an interview with the Emirati newspaper The National that the Houthis had begun producing chemical weapons using materials smuggled from Iran. According to him, the work is allegedly being conducted under the guidance of Iranian experts.
