The Ministry of Finance reported on the discussion of changes in the terms of the family mortgage

The Ministry of Finance of Russia, together with the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation, is discussing the modification of the "Family Mortgage". At the same time, the government will make the final decision. This was announced on September 3 by Alexey Yakovlev, Director of the Finance Ministry's department, on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum.

"The Ministry is considering the proposals of the deputies. We are not talking about imposing restrictions or additional incentives, but about adjusting the parameters of the program depending on the goals of the citizens who participate in it," TASS quoted him as saying.

Yakovlev clarified that currently the limit for the program is 6 million rubles and 12 million rubles, which depends on the regions, but statistics show that the average loan amount is below the established values. He noted that an increase in the limit would be needed to buy more spacious apartments.

Speaking about further changes, Yakovlev noted that the program may become more targeted, aimed at families with a large number of children. According to him, the project is aimed at demography.

Forbidden lot: family mortgage is not available to residents of almost half of the regions

The average salary does not allow servicing even a preferential loan in Crimea, Kaliningrad, Krasnodar and other regions.

Earlier that day, it was reported that the Russian government had allocated an additional over 100 billion rubles to subsidize preferential mortgage programs. Of the total amount, 53.4 billion rubles are intended for "Family mortgages", which will allow maintaining a preferential rate of 6% for families with children. Another 9.6 billion rubles will be allocated for the implementation of the "Far Eastern and Arctic mortgage" with a reduced rate of 2%.
