Former Czech Prime Minister Andrei Babis was hit in the head from behind with a crutch at an election rally of the movement "Action of Dissatisfied Citizens" (ANO) led by him. This was reported by the CTK news agency on September 1.

"Today, at an election rally in Dobra in the Fridek-Mistek region, someone hit the head of the ANO movement, Andrei Babish, from behind with a metal object," the article says.

According to the agency, the attacker hit Babish several times on the head with a crutch. After the incident, the former Czech Prime Minister was sent to the hospital for examination.

It is specified that the police arrested the alleged perpetrator on the spot. In addition, this act was provisionally classified as a violation of public order.
