The Investigative Committee opened a case after the death of a baby in the maternity ward of Khasavyurt

A baby has died in the maternity ward in Khasavyurt, and a criminal case has been opened. This was reported on August 31 in the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Dagestan.

"During the monitoring of media publications, information was revealed about the death of a newborn in the maternity ward in Khasavyurt," the agency's Telegram channel said.

Investigators opened a case under Part 2 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence"). Currently, the UK staff is establishing all the circumstances of the incident.

On August 23, the body of a newborn baby with an umbilical cord was found in the Vsevolozhsky district of the Leningrad region. It was clarified that the baby was found at a landfill of solid household waste. A criminal case was opened into the incident under Article 106 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder of a newborn by a mother").
