A criminal case on the violation of industrial safety requirements was initiated after an explosion at a gas station in Dagestan. This was reported on August 29 in the Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia for the region.

"A set of investigative actions is being carried out in the criminal case aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident," the department's Telegram channel says.

According to the investigation, on August 29, vapor ignition followed by an explosion occurred on the territory of an inactive gas station near the village of Sulevkent, Khasavyurt district, while pumping gas fuel into a tank.

A fire at a gas station in the Khasavyurt district of Dagestan occurred earlier in the day. The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Dagestan clarified in the Telegram channel that the fire started after the gas carrier's tank was depressurized. Rescuers noted that there was a threat of flames spreading to a private apartment building, but it was eliminated.

Later, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that the open gorenje had been eliminated. As a result of the fire, a KAMAZ truck and a tractor were destroyed.
