For the first time, Russian military personnel were able to sink a ship of the Ukrainian Navy using a crewless boat (BEC). Denis Fedutinov, an expert in the field of unmanned aircraft, told about this on August 28.

Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the BACK had hit the medium reconnaissance ship Simferopol of the Ukrainian Navy at the mouth of the Danube.

"This is the first case confirmed by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation of the destruction of a Ukrainian Navy ship by a Russian unmanned boat. Of the resonant episodes of the use of Russian backups, I recall only the episode with the explosion in the area of one of the bridges over the Dnieper River," said Fedutinov, quoted by TASS.

The expert stressed that unmanned boats represent a promising area for the development of military equipment and asymmetric weapons.

"I hope that in the future we will see that the pace of the use of unmanned boats by the Russian armed forces will increase," he added.
