The Second Eastern District Military Court sentenced a resident of the Trans-Baikal Territory to five years in prison for publicly calling for terrorism. This was announced on August 27 by the press service of the regional directorate of the FSB of Russia.

"The Second Eastern District Military Court has sentenced a local resident born in 1968, who was involved in public calls for terrorist activities and public justification of terrorism," the FSB news agency quoted TASS as saying.

It is specified that the woman was sentenced to five years of imprisonment in a correctional colony of a general regime.

It was established that the woman regularly posted text messages on Telegram aimed at justifying the terrorist activities of the Ukrainian special services. In particular, she supported the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge and called for an attempt on the life of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

On August 26, the Federal Security Service of Russia for Moscow and the region reported that law enforcement agencies had detained a Muscovite who called on social networks and messengers to commit murders of Russian military and security forces, and he is currently under arrest. A criminal case was opened into the incident under an article related to public calls for terrorist activities, public justification or propaganda of terrorism.
