Ghislaine Maxwell, convicted of aiding financier Jeffrey Epstein, was seen among the guests at the Clinton Global Initiative conference in 2013. This was reported on August 24 by CNN with reference to recently discovered photos, videos and documents.

"Years after she was publicly accused in civil lawsuits and the press of helping Jeffrey Epstein groom minors and sexually abuse them, Ghislaine Maxwell was the guest of honor at the prestigious Clinton Global Initiative conference in September 2013," the article says.

According to the TV channel, Maxwell had the right to free entry to the event, which could have been recommended either by former US President Bill Clinton or his wife, former US Secretary of State Hillary. In 2011, Maxwell was banned from attending official events due to allegations of recruiting girls for Epstein, which made her presence at the conference in 2013 especially strange.

On August 5, James Comer, Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, sent subpoenas to the US Department of Justice to testify to the Clintons, as well as other high-ranking officials. In addition, former directors of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) James Comey and Robert Mueller, as well as former U.S. Attorneys General Loretta Lynch, Eric Holder, Merrick Garland, William Barr, Jeff Sessions and Alberto Gonzalez will have to testify.

Later, on July 19, US President Donald Trump asked the US Department of Justice to release all available evidence from the jury in the Epstein case. However, later, on July 23, the Florida court rejected this request, in connection with which Trump expressed his dissatisfaction on July 28. The US president was annoyed by the mistakes made by the White House in this matter.
