On August 25, the Central Bank of Russia will issue a commemorative 3 ruble silver coin dedicated to the X Eastern Economic Forum (WEF). This was reported on the regulator's website on August 22.
"On August 25, 2025, the Bank of Russia will issue a commemorative silver coin with a face value of 3 rubles for the X Eastern Economic Forum," the statement said.
The coin is made of 925 sterling silver, weighs 31.1 g, has a diameter of 39 mm and has a round shape with a protruding edge around the circumference. On the front side there is a relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Russian Federation, the inscriptions "Russian Federation", "Bank of Russia", denomination "3 rubles", metal designation, alloy sample, trademark of the St. Petersburg Mint and the mass of the precious metal.
On the reverse side of the coin there are relief images of a cable-stayed bridge, a bird and an emblem with the inscription "Eastern Economic Forum" and the Roman numeral X on the background of images of the sky and waves made using laser matting technology. The coin's circulation will be 3 thousand pieces.
It is specified that the issued coin is a legal means of cash payment in Russia and is required to be accepted at face value for all types of payments without restrictions.
On May 23, it was reported that the Bank of Russia will issue commemorative silver coins, which will be dedicated to the Zenit and Lokomotiv RPL clubs. It was clarified that for this purpose there are additional criteria that clubs must meet in order to qualify for the issuance of a commemorative coin in their honor: the club must be over 100 years old, represent a mass sport, have high results and participate in leading All-Russian competitions.
