Singapore Express: what to expect from the large-scale GITEX Asia 2025 conference
From April 23 to April 25, Singapore will host the GITEX Asia 2025 exhibition and technology conference for the first time. Among its main trends are technologies in the field of AI, IT, cybersecurity, cloud solutions and green developments. Izvestia studied the list of participants, discovering companies from Russia and the CIS that will bring their new products to Asia. What domestic solutions and gadgets will be presented at the conference can be found in the editorial material.
What is GITEX Asia?
GITEX Asia is part of the global GITEX technology conference series. Today, such events bring together companies, governments, and innovators around the world to present and explore new technologies that affect the future of the digital world and the IT industry.
The first GITEX conference was held in 1980, and 45 years later it had a separate focus, the Asian one. Companies from Russia and the CIS will participate in GITEX Asia. The conference will be held at the Marina Bay Sands Expocenter. The main topics will be AI, 5G, information security, smart cities, cloud solutions, digital economy and eco-friendly developments.
Izvestia has gathered the most interesting participants with Russian roots, who will present their stands next week. At the moment, over 700 companies have confirmed their participation, including more than 400 technology organizations and 250 investment companies. The total geography of participating companies is more than 60 countries.
According to Timur Biyachuyev, Director of Corporate Business at Kaspersky Lab, GITEX has rightfully become a landmark technological event and a place to present innovations.
— We have been participating in GITEX for more than ten years in a row. The exhibition has become not just a place for the presentation of new products, but also a unique platform for meetings with representatives of the international business and technology community. GITEX Asia will be held for the first time and will bring together thousands of participants from all over the world in Singapore, including industry leaders and experts who will be able to learn about the latest trends and achievements in the field of technologies shaping the future. Participants will also have new opportunities for interaction, discussion of potential international projects and exchange of experience," the expert added.
Who from Russia will come to the exhibition
At the same time, Kaspersky Lab became the first partner of the cyberimmunity exhibition in the history of GITEX Asia. It will hold its own conference on the site dedicated to a modern approach to cybersecurity and protection against complex threats. The company intends to show AI—based solutions that combine advanced security protocol capabilities with the protection of corporate communications and cloud assets, as well as specialized industrial protection solutions, including MLAD (Machine Learning for Anomaly Detection), an advanced domestic product for detecting anomalies in real time and preventing production failures.
Representatives of Trueconf (internationally known as TrueConf) will bring new solutions in the field of video conferencing (VCS), which will be presented in the 5G and telecommunications segment.
— We will show products for which demand has been growing since 2022, they cannot be disabled or blocked by the decision of the vendor or provider. The company will present in the exhibition area a Russian autonomous system for VCS with an advanced corporate messenger and chatbots, the interest in which abroad is increasing by an average of 15% from year to year. In addition, we will show a new version of desktop applications with interactive video phones, AI capabilities, a redesigned interface and many others," the organization's press service said.
According to VisionLabs, experts in the field of computer vision, the company will present a flagship solution designed for safe cities and banks. The development makes it possible to implement high-precision and operational identification of a person both in large client bases and in difficult "field" conditions. It is also planned to show developments in the field of face recognition, silhouettes, cars and other objects.
"For Russian vendors, the conference is a quick way to assess the specifics of the region, directly demonstrate their solutions to potential customers, as well as participate in business discussions and meetings with partners and customers within the framework of one platform," the company's press service added.
Among the companies from the CIS countries, Armenia will present its proprietary technology engine for AR and VR games called UNIGINE 2 Sim. Serbia will also bring the Seif AI cybersecurity platform.ai and the Curious Sparrow ("Curious Pigeon") personalized gift collection platform.
How participation in the conference will help to enter new markets
The participation of Russian business representatives in such events helps them enter new markets, said Kirill Kopytin, an IT expert and specialist in the development of design and technical thinking and digital Sports at the Moscow Center for Educational Practices. According to him, Asia and the Middle East are growth areas where Russian IT solutions can find and fill their niches. He is convinced that GITEX Asia will act as a platform for dialogue between Asia, the Middle East and the rest of the world, especially against the background of the growing demand for digitalization and sustainable technologies.
— Networking is equally important. The opportunity to gain direct personal contacts with foreign investors and corporations. Besides, image positioning is also important. Participation in such large-scale global events provides an opportunity to show that Russian technologies are quite competitive, despite the geopolitics. And finally, the exchange of experience. It is important for Russians to study advanced global trends and adapt them to Russian realities," the expert added.
Alexander Gorbachenko, director of the Intercontinental Esports League, agrees with this.
— At such exhibitions, Russians get to know and communicate with potential investors and business partners, study international best practices, and draw ideas and inspiration. They also show that Russia, contrary to Western propaganda, is not a "gas station with an atomic bomb," but an advanced and developed country capable of producing sophisticated high—tech intelligent products with high added value, he added.
According to Vasily Ovchinnikov, General Director of the Organization for the Development of the Video Game Industry, trends in information security concern all industries. Participation in GITEX Asia will allow Russians to show their projects, establish direct contacts with partners, distributors and investors. This is especially true in the case of the Asian market, given its scale. Direct communication helps to better understand how to localize a product for a local audience, he added.
GITEX Asia is organized by KAOUN International in collaboration with the Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC) with the support of Singapore government agencies such as the Economic Development Authority (EDB) and the Information and Communication Technology and Media Agency (IMDA).
