The fishery complex of Kamchatka Krai is in a difficult situation "due to the low approach of salmon", with scientists predicting a not very favorable situation for the coming years. On February 17, Vladimir Putin discussed this issue with the governor of the region Vladimir Solodov. At the meeting, the President also drew attention to the large volume of emergency housing in the region.

Kamchatka authorities are ready to complete the second stage of construction of the regional hospital by 2027 - with proper financing. The first stage has already been completed, 440 units of high-tech equipment have been delivered. In addition, a decision has been made to build a university campus in the center of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Now on this place are the old buildings of the Kamchatka hospital. "You will beautify it. It is important that city residents could use the space," Vladimir Putin added.

The head of state inquired about the situation with illegal fishing. The Governor noted that there is progress in this area, but the fishery complex of the region is in a difficult situation, including due to the low salmon approach (reduction in the number of fish in fishing areas. - Ed.). According to him, scientists predict a not very favorable situation for the next few years.

The Governor urged to assign the federal level to the highway Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky - Ust-Kamchatsk in order to bring it to a normal condition. Ust-Kamchatsk is a fishing village in the east of Kamchatka, where about 3 thousand people live.

In Kamchatka Krai, 107 plots of land were given out under the program of regional support for the participants of the NWO. "My task is to provide them with the opportunity to build housing, including the use of the Far Eastern mortgage mechanism, infrastructure support", - explained Vladimir Solodov.
