Svetlana Svetlichnaya died on November 15 at the age of 84 after a long illness. Last years, the actress did not appear in public, because she could no longer move independently, and received palliative care in one of the specialized medical institutions.
- This is how life works, we all come and go from this world. The only thing that worries me is that Svetlana Afanasyevna had a very hard time leaving. To be sick, to be without memory, to be lying down - that is the worst, that is what we are all so afraid of. Very sorry Svetlana Afanasyevna, 84 years for a woman - a low age, but for these years she is thankful, - told reporters singer Prokhor Shalyapin, who was friends with the actress.

Svetlichnaya began starring in movies while still a student at VGIK, where she studied in the same course with Andrei Konchalovsky and Galina Polskikh. According to Pankratov-Black, despite the large amount of sadness in the life of the actress - the early death of her husband Vladimir Ivashov and their son, disagreements in the family - she continued to amaze others with her cheerfulness.
-Sveta always laughed, and the organizers of festivals and creative meetings tried to have her present. She wanted people around her to smile. I used to ask her: "Sveta, why are you always happy?" And she answered that she didn't like sad people. I felt that she was in pain, but she never complained to anyone, never told about her sorrows, but she terribly disliked loneliness. Always was the soul of the company, - added the actor.

Director of the Guild of Actors of Cinema said that Svetlichnaya was one of the first actresses with whom she became friends about 40 years ago. But this friendship was not the most even, because the character of the artist, according to Valeria Gushchina, was not the easiest.
- But in the moments when we could quarrel or something was happening, she said: "Remember, Svetochka Svetlichnaya is a great girl." And that was her attitude to herself. And just as carefully she treated the status of her profession," Gushchina added.
At the farewell ceremony noted that no one has ever seen Svetlichnaya unkempt and carelessly dressed. Her calling card were spectacular hats, the design of which she often came up with herself.
- Sveta always entered any room, even in the morning in the bakery, in full parade. Even when she gave interviews at home. But the main thing was her white hat, which she loved very much. This hat was once given to her from Anapa by Viktor Merezhko. She very much appreciated this gift, and then it became part of her image, - said Gushchina.
The artist was buried at Troekurovsky cemetery in Moscow, not at Vagankovsky, where the graves of Vladimir Ivashov and their young son Oleg are located. In the Guild of Cinema Actors explained this agreed with the family of the actress, the decision is explained by the small size of the Vagankovsky cemetery.
