The cab is still there: "taxi drivers" from the 90s deceived their fighters at the airport
In the case of embezzlement from the participants of the SVO at Sheremetyevo airport, defendants from an influential criminal family appeared. It is believed that Igor Bardin (Barsik Sr.) terrified entrepreneurs in the north of the Moscow region in the 90s and noughties. Bardin's son Vladimir was also involved in illegal activities. His father, the alleged leader of the Lobnya organized criminal group, is a fugitive from justice, and Barsik Jr. has been arrested in connection with crimes against Sheremetyevo Airport passengers, including members of the SVO. Details can be found in the Izvestia article.
Airport hunting
According to a source in law enforcement agencies, the investigation considers Vladimir Bardin to be one of the organizers of the theft at Sheremetyevo Airport. The son allegedly acted on a tip from his father, used his acquaintances and connections in law enforcement agencies and the criminal environment. The group appeared in February 2022 and conducted criminal activities primarily against military personnel on leave due to injury or other reasons.
The group is particularly dangerous due to the participation of transport police officers in it, who not only allowed criminals to freely "work" on the territory, but also hindered the investigation of theft episodes.
According to the Izvestia source, Barsik Jr. is in jail, and his father, who is hiding from the investigation, is also involved in the case. The number of defendants in the case of extortion and fraud against the participants of the SVO at Sheremetyevo airport has grown to 40 people. The total damage in 17 episodes is about 4 million rubles.
The taxi scheme
In addition to the Barsiks, the investigation considers Alexey Kabochkin, nicknamed Ryazanets, and Alexander Vakulenko, nicknamed Funtik, to be the leaders of the group.
"They invited military personnel, usually nonresidents, at the exit and, promising a comfortable transfer for a reasonable price, handed them over to taxi drivers," said a source close to the investigation. — Along the way, it turned out that the announced price tag was for one kilometer of travel, or under another pretext, the total cost increased many times. If a person did not want to pay, "sportik" came to the taxi driver's aid — after threats of violence, accomplices received tens or even hundreds of thousands of rubles.
The way up
57-year-old Vladimir Bardin hails from Lobnya near Moscow. The illegal activities of the criminal structure associated with him began there.
According to police records from the 1990s, Barsik was already a member and later a leader of an organized crime group involved in extortion, racketeering, "protection" of the car business and, according to a source in Izvestia, raiding.
The Lobnya organized crime group has always been known for its audacity. In the criminal chronicle of the Moscow region, a special place is occupied by an episode in the mid-90s, when the Katuar brigade (from the Katuar microdistrict, which was part of the group's sphere of influence) engaged in a shootout with representatives of the law.
According to operational archives, bandits from the Barsik group shot up a traffic police post on Dmitrovskoye highway. This episode is still remembered by veterans of the criminal investigation department as an example of the extreme degree of bitterness in the criminal wars for the redistribution of spheres of influence in the north of the Moscow region.
— This group was characterized as the most daring and armed, in the ranks of the Lobnenskys there were people from sports and participants in hostilities, — said Valentin Stanovov, a former operative and an expert on organized crime. — They had conflicts with the Pushkin group in their activities.
It is known that the Lobnya bandits also feuded with members of the Krutovskaya organized criminal group (Khimki) and other criminal structures in the adjacent territories of the Moscow region.
The owner of the city trade
In the mid-2000s, when the wave of gang wars began to decline, Barsik showed wonders of social adaptation. Formally, he began to engage in a good cause — he headed the Lobnensky Sports Development Fund, a non-profit organization with an official income of 360 thousand rubles a year. However, it was just a front for the main business.
According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities and the Federal Tax Service, Igor Bardin was at various times the co-founder and head of more than two dozen commercial structures. His business interests cover almost the entire infrastructure of Lobnya and the surrounding area.
The analysis of financial flows (based on data for 2019-2021) shows tremendous turnover. According to official data alone, tens of millions of rubles passed through controlled companies. The main assets associated with Bardin, according to the Federal Tax Service, are concentrated in the companies Olympus (net profit in 2024 — 10 million rubles, Olympus 6 (net profit in 2024 — 20 million rubles, assets estimated at 192 million), Berezka (net profit in 2024 — 17 million), Lobnya Alliance (over 20 million rubles officially passed through these companies in 2019-2021), Gorodok (turnover — 30 million rubles), Lobnensky Shopping Complex (net profit in 2024 - 4.5 million), APSG Aerocor (net profit — 3.4 million rubles) and others.
The prospects
The investigation has a serious evidence base against the members of the group. The charges are based on the testimony of ten classified witnesses. In addition, several of the accused have already admitted their guilt and agreed to cooperate with the investigating authorities.
According to the Russian Interior Ministry, 8,315 crimes were committed in transport over the past year, including 1,543 cases of fraud, 6,193 thefts, 110 robberies and nine robberies. More than 2.5 thousand criminal attacks of a corrupt nature on transport have also been registered.
