Usually, heat is supplied to apartments within a few days from the beginning of the heating season. It started in Moscow on September 24, the mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin reported earlier. First, heat is supplied to social facilities: kindergartens, schools and hospitals, and then to residential premises.

Earlier, the Moscow City Management Complex announced that preparations for the new heating season were underway from May to September. All work was completed by September 1. In total, more than 74 thousand facilities have been prepared, including over 34 thousand residential buildings. In particular, the specialists conducted hydraulic and temperature tests of heating networks, which allowed "to identify damaged areas in advance and repair them, this will ensure reliable heat supply to consumers during the cold season."
What should be the temperature in the apartment during the heating season?
According to the standards, the temperature in a residential building should be at least 18 degrees.
It is recommended to measure the temperature as follows:
1. Close all windows and doors in the room.
2. Keep the thermometer at a height of one meter from the floor.
3. Measure the temperature in the center of the largest room in the apartment, taking into account that the nearest heater and the outer wall are at least 0.5 meters away.
When the heating is turned on in Moscow
In the capital, heat is provided if the average daily temperature for five days is below +8 degrees, and according to the weather forecast it will decrease. This is regulated by an order of the Moscow Government.
Last year, the batteries were switched on from October 7, in 2023 — from October 3, in 2022 - from September 18, and in 2021 — from September 13.
