Stylish things: how the Russian designer's show in Paris was held

The French capital is hosting Haute Couture Week from January 27 to 30. Schiaparelli and Christian Dior, who were the first to show their creations, set the trend for royal aesthetics. Chanel stayed true to itself and presented recognizable tweed suits and celebrated its 110th anniversary. YANINA Couture fashion house presented its couture collection in the French capital. Russian designer Julia Yanina dedicated her childhood memories. More details - in the material "Izvestia".
YANINA Couture show in Paris
Almost like in the old famous advertisement - well, fruit, stand in a row and... go to the catwalk. If the last couture collection of Yulia Yanina "Phoenix", presented in Paris at the Haute Couture Week, was synonymous with the word "luxury", the new one has become completely different - juicy and naughty.
On the catwalk in the historical monument of French architecture of the XVII century Pavillon Vendôme, with the designer's light hand, a blossoming garden with birds of paradise and rich harvest was spread out. Elegant dresses and suits were decorated with playful author's prints in the form of fruits and vegetables: cherries, watermelon, hot peppers, eggplants. The designer used honeycomb geometry in the decoration of some items. The Spring-Summer 2025 collection is called "Symphony of Memories". All these are personal summer memories of Julia Yanina and her daughters from their childhood.
- Our life consists of bright, memorable moments that we value most of all. And memories, like a warm blanket, envelop us, creating an atmosphere of coziness and tranquility, - said the designer.
The show was closed by the model in a fantasy white dress, and after the show the audience generously rewarded Julia with shouts of "Bravo!". YANINA Couture is still the only Russian fashion house that annually presents a couture collection at Paris Haute Couture Week.
- Since YANINA was an invited member of the Syndicat de la haute couture, and we have a warm relationship with it, we of course coordinate the time of participation. Its members also attend the show. The foreign community wonderfully perceives the fashion house, because every year the demand grows, - shared with "Izvestia" Yulia Yanina.
From the catwalk her outfits go to the world's red carpets. For example, products from the Phoenix collection were seen by the public at the 77th Cannes Film Festival in May 2024 - Chinese actress Lia Tong shone in a luxurious silhouette dress, and supermodel Adriana Sklenarikova - in a black suit with a silver bird. Probably, Julia Yanina's "Symphony of Memories" will soon be in the secular chronicle as well. Among the guests of the show were both foreign and Russian celebrities - Miss France and Miss Universe - 2016 Iris Mittenaar, creative consultant of Japanese Vogue Anna Delo Russ and others.
Blogger and TV presenter Ida Galich supported her compatriot, who wore a black tight-fitting dress by Janina with recognizable white voluminous flowers as a sign of respect. And a few hours earlier in a different image Galich was at the Chanel show.
- Preparing for the first fashion week is an exciting event. In total, we received six invitations, and complete images in Paris went twelve, not counting jeans and sweaters for breakfast. There wasn't much time to prepare, and the matter was complicated by the fact that I myself am not in Moscow. All gatherings and fittings were held remotely, but the team coped well," stylist Oleg Gorchanin told Izvestia. - I also follow the shows online. I study something in Telegram channels, something on vogue runway, and something is sent by my newfound insider. Of course, I was impressed by the Schiaparelli collection, I've been waiting for such sophistication from the fashion house for a long time. Giambattista Valli and Dior also showed excellent work.
